Happy New year folks! Been a while since we did an update here on mightymoprhs. I’ve been super busy with a new job, breeding,  and family. I am so glad 2011 is over and done. I know I say this every year, but 2011 was for the birds.

As of right now it looks like we have some earlier clutches getting ready. I’ve felt about 10 girls with follicles and they are all glowing like mad. On one of my bigger girls I could have sworn I even felt 10 follicles! She has been bred by my enchi, so lets hope for some enchi girls to hold back.

This season I am really hoping we do some good numbers. Last year with me being sick and all we only got a fraction of what we had planned for and I don’t think I can stand another depressing year of production like that again. So here’s to 2012!

Is this guy not HIGH WHITE or what? He is smoking! His colors are so rich. He almost looks like a pastel pied. Every time we have an animal like this and do a reptile expo the amount of compliments we get are astonishing. One o the more funnier ones are usually along the lines of “Is his skin pealing off?”. We had a great time at the recent white plains reptile expo. Met some good people and saw some old friends. All in all it was a good show for networking. We did stop by Vincent Russo’s table and were lucky enough to take some pictures of his “Camarillo”. It is a cross between a caramel and an Ultramel. What a really good looking snake with a price tag to match it! $25,000!! I wish I had gotten a better picture of him.

Here we are a little less than a week before Thanksgiving. Did you get your turkey yet? We did. We were lucky enough to find a big 20lb bird at our local supermarket before they had sold out of them like last year. Thank god, its like hunting for turkey without actually doing so! HA!

Are you guys coming to the next Whiteplains reptile Expo on the 27th? We will be going and bringing a few cool animals as well. We will also have some new and used snake racks. We have begun testing and producing our own line of racks. We cant wait to show them off! We have gone all out and recessed the flexwatt, routed some cool edges, and done a few other neat things to them. So make sure you guys check them out when we release more info!

We have begun pairing some males and females. Some exciting locks so far! We’ve caught our special lemon blast male locking with our mojave female, our enchi has been a stud, and our bee male has been working it! We are very ecited for the coming season.

You must accept my apologies for not updating the blog for the past few weeks We have been super swamped revamping the snake room, the kids have been going back to school, and it’s been just utter chaos! But now things are settling down. We are getting ready for breeding season here. We have been feeding the girls well and reorganizing our collection to fine tune it to produce some killer animals.

As you can see in the picture above we recently acquired a new project for us here at MightyMorphs. We acquired a axanthic group of animals. In the picture on the left is a breeder male Pastel 100% het VPI Axanthic and on the right is a proven breeder male VPI Axanthic. We have also acquired a few female hets which we hope will produce for us during the upcoming 2011-2012 breeding season. We hope to make some pastel axanthics, axanthics, and a ton of hets to hold back!

We are also looking to get into a few other projects this season, but more on that in the coming weeks. It’s a very busy time planning, setting things up, feeding the girls like pigs! We always get super excited a week before October rolls around. Because on October 1st we start pairing males with females and the next season is upon us.
