Was hoping for a lil magic with this clutch, but I didn’t expect this!

As some of you may remember you’ve known we planned on and did breed our male black pastel het ghost to our gold blush mojave female this season. We did get a sweet clutch of 5 eggs this year from her. We were so pumped hoping to hit the combo this time around. But when we cut the eggs on day 47 we were surprised that not only did we not hit the black magic combo (black pastel mojave combo), but two of the eggs had not developed all of their color yet.

We had to double-check the dates to make sure it was truly day 47, because as we all know if you cut too early the pigment in the animal might not have come all the way in yet. But with this clutch it was most definitely day 47. As a matter of fact the only black pastel in the clutch was jet black. So we knew from that moment something was up with these guys.

First thing I did was email the breeder from whom I acquired the gold blush mojave female from. Mr. Brian Gundy. He informed me that the mother of my female gold blush mojave was really a special animal. She was really light in color and had an amazing head spot on her head.  Mind you that although recessive animals such as a ghost aren’t supposed to have markers, it has been rumored on more then one occasion that true het ghosts have light coloring with a spot of light colored scaled on their head.

Well today I was finally able to put my thoughts to rest. I have been so excited about this clutch that I keep forgetting to sex them! HAHA! Every time I take them out for pics I get so wrapped up in their looks I totally forget to see who’s a boy and who’s a girl.

Here is a picture of them all together. Look at those purples, that blushing, the contrast in colors.

Amazeaballs!!!!!!!

Have you ever seen flames like this before on a mojave?

Man I was just taking some updated pictures of our mojaves for sale and these guys are fat little chunkers. They have some of the most amazing blushing I have ever seen on a mojave.  Sometimes its easy to forget how special some of these base morphs really are. Think about it, just a few years ago ball pythons were nothing like this, the color, the blushing.

It truly is amazing how far we have come.

Babies, babies, and more babies!

100 0759 300x225 white plains spiders het albinos ny expo mojaves hatchlings babies albinos Things are in full swing here at MightyMorphs. We have set up a ton of babies this week. A ton more took their first meals, and a ton more have shed out. We actually filled our huge baby rack for the first time this year. Usually as people make purchases we have animals coming up to fill the slots in the racks, but at this time of year so many babies are ready at once we fill every slot up!

So its safe to say we have been a little bit hectic here. LOL

We will be updating the available page tomorrow night with pictures of the new babies that are ready to go. We will have more mojaves, het pieds, albinos and hets. We will also take some new pictures of our favorites like the BEL, the spiders het albino, and so on.

If you are interested in an animal that is not listed, hit me up. I will get you pictures and all the info via email. Things are flying by so fast an animal might not be on the available page just yet.

Also keep in mind we will be at the white plains show on the 12th. Just about a week or so away! I can’t wait.
