Who’s going to whiteplains?

How’s everyone doing? Long time no post. We have been super busy with work, snakes, kids, etc etc. You know the drill. Is anyone going to whiteplains this coming weekend? We are going but we wont have a table. We should resume our table come July. But as of right now we are heading to the show to pick up supplies and maybe some more animals.

Speaking of… If anyone is interested we are selling one of our proven breeder pastel females. She is 2000 grams and ready to go! If interested hit me up support@mightymorphs.com

Here is a picture of her

Want in on the ground floor of a new project?

To the untrained eye that just looks like a really good-looking lemonblast.  But it’s not. It is a 3 gene animal. It is a genetic granite lemon pastel pinstripe. Also known as the granite blast! Pretty straight forward right? Well here is another kicker… What I have yet to figure out is whether or not it is carrying a vanilla type gene. Look at the picture below and tell m what you see?

Nope that’s not a firefly on the left. It’s supposedly just a genetic granite pastel. But why is it so blushed out like a firefly you may ask? That I am not sure of yet. But if you take a look at the other two animals in the clutch they both are extremely blushed out as well. What I find really interesting is the normal on the right. I personally do not think he is a normal. He looks like a cross between a vanilla, fire, granite, special something. I think I have isolated the gene in its single gene form with that normal looking male.

Here is what I know. After two clutches with this gene we definitely have a genetic granite thing going on with my lemomblasts and pastels. Whether or not there is also a vanilla gene at work I am unsure of.. Reason being is in the first clutch I hatched a genetic granite pastel but his blushing is nowhere near what the pastel is in the photo above.  So this all leads me to believe there are 2 new genes in this line. A genetic granite and a vanilla type gene. More breeding needs to be done to completely figure this out.

Have I lost you yet? LOL If you like dinking as much as I do and want in on this project let me know. I have way too many males then I need for it. Plus if I let a male or two go to the right breeder we could expand our gene pool and really take this project forward with gusto!
