Constantly evolving, changing it up, new projects.

Here I am listing my proven pied ball male for sale. WTF am I thinking? I remember having a pied in your collection was like the bees knees. You could make hets, pieds, codom/dom het for pieds, the list goes on and on.

But as life changes, ideas change, plans change.

So here I am listing my proven breeder pied male for sale on kingsnake and fauna. I’ve had the feeling to do so for a few months now. But actually doing it is kind of weird to me.

Anyway if you are interested in a really good looking, studly of a male pied this is your guy. He will hump your arm if you let him! LOLOL

Why am I selling you ask? I’m not going to lie, I’ve got some bills to pay but I also have my eye on an upgrade/replacement for his services here in our collection.

2011 ball python breeding season is off to a bang!

Last night with the coming full moon I decided it was time to put some males in with some females. I still have some females that I need to fatten up a little more, but some of my girls were laying on the cool side so I said, what the heck!

Here is my studly mojave male. He is such an awesome breeder male. I wish every male was like him. As soon as he smells the ladies his tail goes up and he does his thing.

I am really excited to see what this black pastel 100% het ghost male does for me this season. He is a stud breeder just like my mojave and this is actually the second female he is breeding for me this year. As you can see he is looking for her tail, no worries though once he finds it he will be locked for hours!

So yeah we are off to a great start this season. We have also booked the WhitePlains Reptile expo for right after thanksgiving and we also booked the hamburg reptile expo on Dec 4th! We are so pumped too be vending at both expos. We have such a great time talking shop all day. I can’t wait.

Pre-season weigh ins part 1 – The Boys

Well it’s hard to believe that the 2011 hatchling season is already sneaking up on us. I normally start pairing on October 1st.  That’s NEXT WEEK! WOW!

Where did the time go? I know my feeder bill has been through the roof the past few months. Ive been worried all summer that the girls werent putting on weight, that the boys wouldnt be up to size or fattened up from last season. So I have been feeding them real well. Small rats once a week and too those animals that were still not putting on good weight I would throw them an extra small here and there.

It’s safe to say all that worrying wasnt for nothing! The boys are right on par with where they should be. They are all fattened up and up to size for the coming season. What a relief! I did take a sneak peak at the girls too the other day when I did my monthly over haul on the animals. But I will save that for the next post. ;0)

One of the males I really am excited about is my Lemon Blast. He has been a terrifc eater and at a year old he is just about 700 grams.

I cannot wait to see his offspring. I have one piglet pastel girl lined up for just him! I am really hoping for SuperBlasts!!! How awesome would that be?

The next male I check on was my enchi. I picked him up last year, but he was not interested in the ladies one bit. So this year I can almost bet he gets his grove on and goes to town on the ladies. I cannot wait to load up on some hold back female enchis. The crosses you can make with female enchis blown my mind.

(For some reason I can never catch his colors correctly.)

Next up is the Bumblebee. Like the lemon blast I have a lemon pastel girl lined up for this handsome little fella. I really hope he does the dead this year. He is kind of skidish, which isnt a good sign. I need my males to have confidence, which it seems he totally lacks. He does eat like a champ so maybe he will surprise me.

Next up is the pied. How could I make a post about the boys without including the proven breeder male pied? He sired a few clutches this year for me. So we do have some hold back pied females. I would really like to get my hands on a breeder axanthic female. The double hets would be like little bundles of gold. I really want to produce a lightning pied one day. AMAZING!

As you can see, the boys have been keeping up on their boyish looks. I cannot wait for next years clutches. We are going to have some really cool and exciting things hatching. I almost wish I could fast forward about 7 or 8 months. LOL! Wouldn’t that rock?

Next up, the GIRLS!
