Is there anyhing sweeter then a tub of albino hatchlings?

Oh yeah! They finally came out of the eggs and the results are in… We have 2 male albinos, 1 female albino,  2 male hets and 1 female het. Not the best of odds sex wise but we will take it.

One thing I noticed, all of the babies are porkers!! They are huge. Momma must of been healthy when she layed these guys, cause the eggs were huge, the babies are huge, another great clutch from her.

Next up, spider 100% het albinos. They are pipping, just need them to climb out of the eggs!

Mojave ball pythons hatching. Albino spider clutch laid…

That’s right! We have mojave hatching as we speak. We cut our first clutch on day 53 and today is day 55. We were so happy that we saw two good looking mojaves in the eggs.

Today our spider het albino girl laid her eggs finally! She had been looking so bloated and full of eggs the past few days I knew she was near laying. Let’s hope the 4 eggs produce some albino spider or at least some more spiders het albinos.

Mid 2010 Season breeding updates

Well I hope your new year is off to a great start. We have been super busy the past few weeks. From breeding snakes to kids getting sick. We have not stopped.

First off here is what some of our pairings look like this 2010 season.

Yellow belly x Normal
Mojave x Mojave
Mojave x Woma
Mojave x Pastel
Pinstripe x Normal
Pinstripe x Pastel
Pied x 3 Het Pied Girls
Pied x Dinker normal girl
Albino x Het Albino spider
Albino x Het Albino girl
Enchi x Normal
Enchi x Woma

I am really hoping on hitting some BELS, Pieds, and Albino Spiders. I have a few dinker girls I’ve put some of the males in to see if anything is going on with them geneticly. Only time will tell. I do know my mojave female has some real big folicles growing and she has been refusing to eat. So I am stoked. I’m thinking in another few weeks I’ll go through and count the folicles on all of the girls to get a better idea of what’s to come.

Sorry for the lack of pictures in this post, I forgot to bring the came home from work and never got a chance to take some. Next time I post I will be reviewing the various offerings of hatchling racks out there. I need a new one and cannot decided which one to get.
